another, the other, other, others中文釋義另外的，其它的。相同點都可作代詞用於句中作主語或賓語。
another中文另外，其它的，指超過三者或三者以上的固定範圍語句中，後可配名詞或數量詞。比如：
One of four students is male, another three are female.
He .will .come .another day.
第一句another位於句中是另外的三個，做主語。第二句配量詞指改天（不固定泛指的任何一天，另外的一天)。
the other指兩者中的另外一個，常與one搭配，有特指數量範圍兩者中的另一個，one...the other...固定短語。比如：
I like my two friends, .one .is from .English, the .other is from Japan.
other指其它的，沒有固定範圍的，泛指其它的，沒有特指的某一或某些物件。常與any搭配，其後是單數名詞。或後加名詞複數形式
He is .taller than any other student in our class.
I see other .friends in the shop.
others是other的複數形式，泛指的沒有固定範圍的，作代詞意思為別人，他人。句子中可作主語或賓語。意為其它的相當於other+名詞複數形式，沒有特指範圍。比如
I like helping others.

other，others, another, the other, the others比較
1. other “其他的，另外的”，範圍：三個或三個以上。 other+名詞複數，泛指其餘的人或物。Do you have other questions? 你有其他問題嗎？
2. others “其他人”，指剩餘的另一些人（並非全部），永遠表示複數意義，且其後不能再接名詞。相當於other+複數名詞。如：Some people like walking. Some like running. Others like swimming.
有些人喜歡散步，有些人喜歡跑步，其他人喜歡游泳。 (這裡“其他人”Others並非其他所有的人。)
3. another “又一（個），另一（個）”，泛指總數為三個或三個以上中的任意一個，another+名詞單數。After the boy eats one apple, he asks for another (one). 小孩吃完一個蘋果後又要了一個。
4. the other “（兩者中的）另一個”。 常與one連用構成句型： “one…the other…” 一個……，另一個……He has two sisters. One is a doctor, the other is a teacher.
他有2個姐姐。其中一個是醫生，另一個是教師。
5. the others “其他人”, 指剩餘所有的人或物（範圍大於2人）相當於 the other+ 複數名詞，表示在一定範圍內的其餘所有的人或物。如：
There are 50 students in the class. Thirty are boy students and the others are girls. 班裡三十人是男生，其他人都是女生。
