Take part in 是參與到一項活動中，後面跟表示“活動”的詞，如：

l Jane never takes part in any of the class activities.

（Jane從來不參加任何班級活動。）

Join 是加入到一群人中（或者和某一個體組成群體）。這個群體可以是臨時的（比如排隊的人群），也可以是固定的（比如某個組織）。而且，join是及物動詞，所以後面一般是表示“人”或者“組織”的詞，如:

l Would you join us for dinner tonight?

take part in 參加活動

e.g. Everyone fully took part in the activities during the class. 課上每個同學都積極參加課堂活動

join 加入組織或者群體

join the League入團 join the Army參軍 join the Party入黨

e.g. I joined the League in the first year of my junior high school.我初中第一年就入團了。

e.g. Will you join us? 加入我們好嗎？
