謝謝您的邀請。作為一名英語老師我的回答也許並不是非常專業，這裡談一下我個人的見解。首先英語中有讓步狀語從句不是因為什麼原因，只是因為由於表達的需要而出現的一種語法現象。語言只是一種文字元號，也是一種交流工具，是為了更準確表達說話者想表達的意思而誕生的，有什麼樣的語言形式，實際上人的大腦當中就有什麼樣的意義存在。就像你問我女人要戴文胸，我只能告訴你，這是一種需要。

題主用不著如此糾結於為什麼，因為生活中有很多諸如 “雖然...但是”，“儘管...還”，“即使...也要”這樣的事情發生，所以就有“讓步狀語從句”一說。“儘管你還是可能不怎麼明白，我仍然要說下去”，這就是讓步狀語從句。

讓步狀語從句是狀語從句中的一種，其本身也是狀語從句。引導讓步狀語從句的連詞主要有以下這些：

though,although,while,as;even if等。

as引導的讓步狀語從句必須以部分倒裝的形式出現，被倒裝的部分可以是表語、狀語或動詞原形，though也可用於這樣的結構中，但although不可以這樣用。even if引導的讓步從句含有強烈的假定性，可用來表示與事實相反的假設，但不能用來描述已經發生的事實。而even though引導讓步狀語從句時，是以從句的內容為先決條件的，即說話人肯定了從句的事實，表示已經發生了的事。

如下列例句:

Though she’s almost 40, she still plans to compete.

儘管已經快40歲了，她仍然打算參加比賽。

Pascal went ahead with the experiment even though he knew it was dangerous.

雖然帕斯卡知道這個試驗很危險，但他仍然進行下去。

though old/tired etc

The rooms, though small, were pleasant and airy.

這些房間雖小，但舒適又通風。

old though it is/tired though he was etc

Strange though it may seem, I like housework.

說來也許奇怪，但我喜歡做家務。

used like ‘but’ to add a fact or opinion that makes what you have just said seem less definite, less important etc 可是，不過，然而

I thought he’d been drinking, though I wasn’t completely sure.

我覺得他喝了酒，不過不是十分肯定。

The offenders were dealt with firmly though fairly.

這些違法者受到了嚴厲但公正的處罰。

3 as though

1) in a way that makes you think something is true 好像〔指某種情形使你認為某事屬實〕

SYN as if

It looks as though everyone else has gone home.

看起來好像其他所有人都回家了。

2) in a way that might make you think something was true, although you know it is not true 好像，彷彿〔指某種情形也許會讓你有種感覺，但其實你知道事實並非如此〕

SYN as if

She stared at me as though I were a complete stranger.

她盯著我看，好像我完全是個陌生人。
