1. give someone a hand / someone needs a hand
當自己遇到困難，需要別人幫助時，我們常常可以說：
Could you give me a hand, please?
你可以幫幫我嗎？或者
I need a hand. Could you help me out?

2. in hand / out of hand
in hand 可以用來表達某一局勢已在掌控之下，或事情已在處理當中。如：
They finally had this situation in hand.
他們終於控制了局勢。這裡的 in hand 相當於 under control。
與 in hand 相反，從字面意思就可以看出 out of hand 直譯為脫手，引申為失去控制，如：
The real estate market in this city is totally out of hand!
這個城市的房地產市場已完全失去了控制。
