意思是一樣的，amount 後面動詞是單數， amounts 後面動詞用複數。

large amounts of 同上:大量的 都可接（但常接不可數名詞） large amounts of money大量的錢 Its always been a place to store large amounts of data and nothing more.

a large number of 和 huge amounts of 的用法：

a large number of +可數名詞複數， 表示 許多 huge amounts of + 可數名詞複數或不可數名詞（但不管跟哪種名詞，其含義都是量而不是數量 ） ，兩者謂語動詞都用複數形式。

在英語中，修飾可數與不可數名詞的量詞：

a lot of既可數也可不可數,但是基本上在用到可數的時候用plenty of.

many可數 、much不可數、 few,可數、 little不可數 。

可數：a numbei of,the number of,many,few ,a few

不可數：huge amounts of,a great deal of,little,a little

兩個皆可：some,any,a lot of,lots of,plenty of

區別：

a large（great,good）amount of ＋不可數名詞,謂語動詞一般用單數；

但（huge,great,good）amounts of ＋ 不可數名詞,作主語時,謂語動詞要用複數.
