《GB-T6988.1-2008電氣製圖國家標準》中規定，文字元號F為保護器件類的文字元號。

　　文字元號可以組合使用，常用的保護器件類的組合文字元號有下面幾種：

　　F－過電壓放電器件避雷器(Over voltage discharge device Arrester)。

　　FA－具有瞬時動作的限流保護器件(Current threshold protective device with　Instantaneous action)。

　　FR－具有延時動作的限流保護器件(Current threshold protective device withTime-lag action)。

　　FS－具有延時和瞬時動作的限流保護器件(Current threshold protective device with　Instantaneous and time-lag action)。

　　FU－熔斷器(Fuse)。

　　FV－限壓保護器件(Voltage threshold protective device)。
