    凡臨床所見筋脈拘急,肘臂伸縮不定的症狀,統稱為抽搐。多見於痙證、癇證、破傷風、驚風。 抽搐是由多種病因作用於筋脈而產生的,如氣血虧損、火熱熾盛、風、痰、虛火、瘀血等引起筋脈拘急,皆可出現。 「常見證候」 風邪閉絡: 四肢抽搐,發熱惡寒,項背強急,筋脈拘急,肢體竄痛或疼痛,苔白膩或微黃,脈弦緊或數。多見於破傷風。 風痰上壅:四肢抽搐,突然頭痛,眩暈,昏仆倒地,不省高下,兩目上視,神識不清,口吐涎沫,或口作六畜叫聲,四肢先強直痙攣,繼之屈伸陣攣,牙關緊閉,口唇青紫,二便失禁,移時甦醒,時發時止,發作後一如常人,舌苔白膩,脈弦滑。多見於癇證。 痰火動風:卒暴僵仆,神識不清,四肢抽搐,牙關緊急,喉有痰鳴,面紅氣促,兩手握固,舌紅脹大,苔黃膩,脈弦滑而數。 肝陽化風:四肢抽搐,面紅目赤,常有頭痛、眩暈、煩躁、易怒,麻木、突然昏厥、口眼牽動,或有神識不清、半身不遂、舌質紅、苔黃、脈弦數有力。 血虛生風:手足緩緩抽動,筋惕肉潤,面色蒼白或萎黃,麻木筋急,口唇指甲色淡,有時腕屈,手指伸直併攏呈雞爪狀,舌淡,脈細或弦細。 瘀血阻絡的抽搐:多在跌撲損傷後發生,先由肢體或顏面部抽搐,迅速延及全身抽搐。舌有瘀斑或舌質隱青,脈弦或澀。
