1、Care for
（1）like；=be fond of 喜愛 =be willing to do sth=wish to do sth= like to do sth(常用於否定句及疑問句，尤其與would連用更常見)
1)She doesn"t care for that colour．她不喜歡那種顏色。
2)She did not care for him．她不喜歡他。
（2）take care of；look after 照顧
(1)As an orphan，he is cared for by the local authorities．他是個孤兒，受到當地政府的照顧。
(2)He spent years caring for his sick mother．他數年中一直在照顧生病的母親。
(3)I do care for what my teacher says．我的確尊重老師說的話。
（4)Would you care for a drink?
（5)Would you care to go for a walk?
2、care about v. 擔心 接近be worried, be concerned or interested 指：憂慮、擔心、關心、惦念
例句:

I really care about my work. 我真的關心我的工作。

3.care about和care for在表示“關心，擔心，”等意思的時候，用法是一樣的，基本可以通用。
如，Don"t care about/for me.別擔心我。You needn"t care for/about his safety.你不必為他的安全擔心。
4. 在表示“介意，計較”等意思的時候，要用care about，後面一般接表示事物的詞。
如，He doesn"t care about his clothes.他不講究衣著。
I don"t much care about going.我不太想去。
5.在表示“關懷，照顧”/“願意...”等意思的時候，要用care for.
如，We must care for the younger generation.我們必須關懷年青的一代。
Would you care for a walk after supper?晚飯後去散散步好嗎？
6.在表示“喜歡，願意，想望”等意思的時候，要用care to do . 即care後面接動詞不定式。
