我這裡講幾個初中高中考試時經常讓人混淆的詞語吧。中考或高考的同學可以據此查閱字典，好好理解一下。

那些英語裡傻傻分不清的單詞1.desert & dessert
這兩個單詞可以說是形態相似意思卻南轅北轍的典型了，可以把s看成彎彎曲曲的河流，多了一條河流，desert(沙漠)也能長出小麥，然後用小麥做成dessert(甜點心)。
desert ：n. 沙漠，不毛之地
dessert ：n. 甜點心
2.explore & explode
我們在電視中可以經常看到探險家們拿著登山鎬，而explore(探險)中的r就像是一個登山鎬，相同的位置上，explode(爆炸)中則是形似炸彈的d。這樣一想，這兩個單詞就很容易分清了。
explore ：v. 探險
explode ：v. 爆炸
3.metal & mental
想快速分清這兩個單詞並牢牢記住，就可以這樣想：金屬為什麼是金屬?就是因為metal(金屬)沒有men(人類)所具有的的精神上的(mental)東西。
metal ：n.金屬
mental ：adj.精神上的
4.guilt & quilt
這兩個單詞可以說是最形似之一了，認錯的情況十分常見。字形上來看唯一的區別就是開頭的guilt開頭的g下面彎的，可以想象成行事不直，所有會有罪行，會內疚。
guilt ：n. 罪行,內疚
quilt ：n. 被褥
5.statue & status
svip(超級會員)、ssr(非常稀有)，s在很多情況下都可以彰顯身份與地位，所以以s結尾的status是地位，與以e結尾的statue也就能很容易分清了。
