would rather not sb. not必須加在rather後面！would rather 不可拆

　　2.在一般的陳述句中，不能說 wouldn"t [would not] rather ...，但是可以說 would rather not...(寧願不......)。例如：I"d rather not tell you about it.我寧願不把這件事告訴你。（摘自趙振才編者《英語常見問題解答大詞典》）

　　3.wouldn"t 這個縮寫形式可以用在疑問句中。當 would not rather 用在陳述句中時，則只有在否定對方的談話或建議時，才能成立：

　　A:Wouldn"t you rather live in the country?

　　B:No,I would not.I"d rather live here.

　　A:你不願住在農村嗎？

　　B:是的，我不願意。我寧願住在這裡。

　　I wouldn"t rather have an apple.我不願意吃蘋果。
