A: lose表示丟失，它的過去式，過去分詞都是lost. 因此它們的意思是一樣的。

miss(vt.) “錯過，未抓住、未打中、未碰見”等

例.He arrived too late and missed the train.

他到的太晚，沒趕上火車。

He missed my meaning.

他沒明白我的意思。

當miss用作定語時，表示“丟失的”“迷了路的”此時要用missing而不能用missed.

例.a missing girl 迷了路的女孩，丟了的女孩。

B：lose(vt.)“丟失、遺失、迷失、喪失、沒聽見…”

例. ·He lost his bike some days ago.

他幾天前丟失了腳踏車。

·The boy lost his way.

那男孩迷了路。

（lose是瞬間動詞，而be missing可表持續狀態。如：He lost his child last May . The little girl has been missing for almost a year.）
