表示演奏樂器時，樂器前要加the

play the violin 拉小提琴

注：中國樂器名詞前不與冠詞連用：er-hu（二胡）

以下這些類別的名詞不與the連用：

1.表示學科名稱的名詞，如：Chinese， math， physics。

2.表示季節、月份、星期的名詞，如：spring，January， Sunday。

3.表示頭銜、國籍、國家、城市的名詞，如president， English， China， Beijing。

4.表示節日的名詞， 如：Children’s Day， New Year’s Day， May Day。

易錯警示：

1.“球類名詞”與play連用時不用the，但指“一個籃球”或“那個足球”等個體實物時，則要與a或the連用。
