一、含義不同

1. no less…than表示的含義是 “與…一樣…”

No less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here.

不遜於那些樹木與星星；你有權在這裡。

2. not less… than表示的含義是 “比…更…”:

And I prayed with them without ceasing, and not less than they.

我在祈禱中，他們沒有停止，並不得少於他們。

二、強調的重點不同

1. No less than 表示的含義是 “不亞於…”, 強調 “數量多”並給人以“數量不小的”口氣。因此，還可加譯“竟然”或“高達”等字。

In that battle, we wiped out no less than twenty thousand enemies.

在那一次戰役中，我們消滅的敵人不下20000人。

2. not less than所表示的含義是 “至少, 不少於”強調 “數量少”給人以“數量小的”口氣。

I was standing on the very edge of a bank, a precipice not less than fifty feet deep.

我站在岸的邊緣，一個至少有五十英尺深的懸崖。

三、用法不同

1、如果純粹表示比較，就選用not less than 。

His English is not less than yours.

他的英語至少不比你的英語差。

2、如果表示對2者的肯定，就選用no less safe than。

And no less than you are.

也不比你們少傢伙。
