measure和weigh都有三種詞性：名詞、及物動詞、非及物動詞
作名詞時，measure意為
（1）措施 例：We should take some measures to solve this problem. 我們要採取一些措施解決這個問題。
（2）尺寸 例：She made the trousers to my measure. 她按照我的尺寸做了一條褲子。
（3）程度 例：The result, in a certain measure, depends on her decision. 從某種程度來說，結果取決於她的決定。
作名詞時，weigh意為“權衡” 例：After our weigh, we give you another chance, 經過我們的權衡，決定再給你一次機會。
作為及物動詞時，measure和weigh都有“權衡”的意思。例：You need to measure the quality and the quantity of the influence. 你要從“質”與“量”兩方面權衡影響。
但measure指的是“測量、估量”，而weigh指的是“稱……的重量”。例：
How to measure the length of that box? 如何測量那個盒子的長度？
How to weigh that box? 如何稱那個盒子的重量？
同時，weigh還有“考慮”的意思。例：You can weigh this matter patiently and reply me 2 weeks later. 你可以耐心考慮這件事，兩週後答覆我。
作為不及物動詞時，measure就只有“測量、估量”的意思，沒有”權衡“的意思了。例：It is the only thing we can measure. 這是我們唯一能測量的。
作為不及物動詞時，weigh意為
