Ailuropoda melanoleuca (scientific name: Ailuropoda melanoleuca, alias: feline bear, bamboo bear), belonging to the carnivorous order of giant panda, is the only mammal of Ursidae, giant panda subfamily and giant panda, known as "living fossil" and "national treasure of China", and belongs to the first-class national protected animal in China.

Its body is plump and rich, with round head and short tail, and the male is slightly larger than the female; the black and white body color is conducive to hiding in the dense forest trees and snow ground, and is not easy to be found by natural enemies.

大熊貓是中國特有物種，主要棲息地為中國四川、陝西和甘肅的山區。其體型豐腴富態，頭圓尾短，雄性個體稍大於雌性；黑白相間的體色，有利於隱蔽在密林的樹上和積雪的地面而不易被天敵發現。
