_anticipate有3層意思：1.預見，預料(並做準備) 2.期望，盼望 3.先於...做，早於...行動

expect有4層意思：1.預期，預料 2.等待，期待，盼望 3.要求，指望 4.猜想，認為(非正式)

anticipate強調預見性(並很可能為此準備)，expect強調期待

從《朗文》裡的解釋也能看出：

anticipate：to expect that something will happen and be ready for it；

expect：to think that something will happen because it seems likely or has been planned；

用法：都可以接從句，anticipate 接動名詞，expect 接不定式

don"t anticipate sth/don"t expect sth的側重點：

we don"t anticipate any problems.我們預計不會有什麼問題。(強調預見性)

we don"t expect any problems.我們不希望有什麼問題。(強調期望)

再如：

Realistically, they do not anticipate a return to the peak years, but expect ongoing recovery.事實上，他們預計不會重返巔峰時期，但逐漸復甦可期。
