about 和on都可和某些名詞或動詞連用,表示"關於"的意思。在涉及文章,書籍,談話,演說,報告等有關內容時,兩者可通用。例如：a book on/about theradio(一本關於無線電的書)。about 表示的內容較為普通,不那麼正式,on用於較正式的場合,表示這本書,這篇文章或演說是嚴肅的或學術性的,著重於知識的深度。例如：

注意:learn about,read about,quarrel about,hear about,story about 等短語一般不涉及知識的深度,所以不能用on代替about。
