我們在學英語的時候常常會遇到這幾個很惹麻煩的詞。
some times
sometimes
sometime
some time
我們怎麼樣區分這幾個詞呢？
我們先來弄明白time的意思，
時間，次數，時候
我們搞不清楚這幾個詞的意思，主要是因為他們在不同的組合中有不同的意思。
1. some times，這個時候，time的意思是，次數，所以這個詞的意思是幾次。 2.sometimes這個詞是上面那兩個詞的連寫，實際上，也是幾次的意思，但是約定俗成，已經是 有時 的意思了，它是一個副詞。
3.some time 在這個組合中，time的意思是時間，所以這個組合是 有些時間，一些時間。它是一個名詞片語。
4.sometime 在這個組合中，time意思是時候
所以這個組合的意思是 某時，或者是，總要有一個時候，總要有一天，用在將來時。
下面我們來舉些例子
他有時會在這裡停留的。
He sometimes stays here.
他已經在這裡停留過幾次了。
He has stayed here some times.
他已經停留一些時間啦。
He has stayed here for some time.
以後總要有一天他還會在這裡停留的。
He will stay here again sometime later.
Sometimes you plant something here.
有時候你會在這裡種東西。
I have seen that some times.
我已經見過幾次了
If you spend some time here，
如果你在這裡花一些時間。
you can get what you want sometime later.
以後你終將會得到你所想的東西。

some time 表示一段時間
例句：I hate him, because he makes me nervous sometimes.

New teacher will come to our school sometime next month.
新的老師會在下個月的某個時候來到我們學校。
It took me some time to work out this problem.

在英語中，sometime和some time, , 還有sometimes和some times的用法令很多人頭疼，今天我們就利用詞性的知識把它們徹底區分開。
time是個名詞。既有“時間”的意思（不可數），又有“次數”的意思（可數）。some是個形容詞。形容詞+名詞=名詞片語。所以：
1. some time是名詞片語。表一段時間。
John had lived in Hong Kong for some time before moving here.
在搬到這之前，約翰在香港住了一段時間。
2. some times也是名詞片語。表幾次。其實國外更常用several times或 a few times.
I have been to Beijing some times.
我已經去過北京好幾次了。
some這個詞，既有某些的意思，又有某個的意思。sometime和sometimes都是副詞，在句中作時間狀語。
3. sometime：某個時間。表確切的將來或過去的某個時間。
I saw John simetime yesterday morning.
昨天早上的某個時刻我看到了約翰。
4. sometimes：某些時間→有時候→偶爾=occasionally
I visit my grandparents in the countryside sometimes.
我有時去鄉下探望我的爺爺奶奶。
