From my point of view, reading English newspaper has advantages and disadvantages.

The advantages are:

1. we can expand our vocabulary.

2. we can learn the formal terms and expressions regarding different industries and events.

The disadvantages are:

1. Some of the words and sentences are written expressions and sometimes can"t be used orally.

2. We are not able to know the exact pronunciation and meaning of a new word.

3. As English is not our native language, we will spend more time reading an English newspaper than a Chinese one.
