王老師這個版本的翻譯很貼切，Today，the empire is still divided in three，still放在這裡表存續狀態，意為天下三分之勢已形成一段時間。
我個人的翻譯，At present，the mainland is divided in three. 用目前表達今，而mainland本意為大陸，古時爭天下，即劃分疆土，所以有普天之下 莫非王土一說。

1. Nowadays there are three divisions of the nation.
nowadays表示當今世界的整體概括，適合用在很多句子開頭。nation是國家。
這個說法個人感覺最好，因為這句中文，本來是一個陳述句表示目前的情況，所以可以直接用there are來說，比被動語態感覺更適合。
這裡divisions還可以換成parts/segments都可以表示三個部分。division更合適，劃分的感覺更明確，更有原本是一個整體然後被分割的意味。
2. Nowadays the nation has been divided into three segments.
這裡就是用被動了。這裡用了segments，也可以換成parts，就簡單點。
我自己隨便翻譯下，然後查詢《虎嘯龍吟》裡的翻譯，做個對比。
我的翻譯：The country is divided into three parts now.
《虎嘯龍吟》裡的英文： Today, the empire is still divided in three.
人家的譯文好，
指代漢朝，empire比country合適。漢帝國就是個empire。運用still，表示出了對當下形勢的憂慮。in three修飾divided的狀態，這是最勝過我翻譯的地方。然而，細看譯文，對方沒有翻譯益州疲敝。
