原文:RAJKOT: Within just five days of issuing the notification banning PUBG, Rajkot police have arrested 10 youngsters for playing the battle royale game in the city.These were the first arrests in Gujarat after several districts banned the game following state government’s directives issued in January. The 10 college-going boys were released on bail after an offence was registered against them.While six were arrested near Atmiya College on Kalavad Road, three others were picked up from Raiya crossroads and near Galaxy Cinema and one near Neptune Tower on Wednesday. In both cases, the youngsters were playing PUBG in a public place.Police Inspector VS Vanzara of Rajkot taluka police station told TOI: “All these students were arrested for violating the notification issued by police commissioner. They were released on bail later.”Those arrested were Chirag Sakaria, Yakub Pathan, Rameez Falani, Madhav Vyas, Yash Joshi, Neel Adhera, Harnish Panchal, Kalpesh Rathod and Harkishan Bangrotia . They had been playing PUBG since 1:30pm while police nabbed them at nearly 4pm.“We want to give out a stern message that the notification banning PUBG won’t remain just on paper,” said a senior police official.The notification issued by police commissioner Manoj Agarwal stated that the PUBG and Momo games incite violence among the players, who are mostly youth and school-going children. This in turn was adversely affecting their academics. The notification also claimed that addiction to such games was resulting in adverse behavioural change among the players.
