at last和finally的區別主要是：finally既可以用於表示時間位置（相當於at last,in the end）,也可以用於表示時間的先後順序（如同first,second,third,next,then,last）,這種用法的finally相當於to conclude.at last只能指時間位置,不能指時間順序,而且在語義上是指經過周折,等待,耽擱的“終於”,“最後”。例如：
1) Finally the “International” was sung. 最後唱了國際歌。
2) What decision did you finally arrived at? 你們最終做出了什麼樣的決定?
3) At last man learnt how to make the right machine to carry him through the air. 人類終於學會了/掌握了製造載人穿越太空的理想器械的技術。
