外形、姿態和狀態
貴賓犬是很活躍、機警而且行動優雅的犬種，擁有很好的身體比例和矯健的動作，顯示出一種自信的姿態。經過傳統方式修剪和仔細的梳理後，貴賓犬會顯示出與生俱來的獨特而又高貴的氣質。
二、尺寸、比例、體型
標準型：肩高超過15英寸（35釐米）。任何一種標準型貴賓犬肩高等於或小於15英寸都會從競賽中淘汰。
迷你型：肩高等於或小於15英寸（35釐米），高於10英寸（25釐米）。任何一種迷你型的貴賓犬超過15英寸或等於小於10英寸都會從競賽中淘汰。
玩具型：肩高等於或小於10英寸（25釐米）。任何一種玩具型貴賓犬超過10英寸都會從競賽中淘汰。
