Hopes run high that Amanda will become the third Thai to be crowned Miss Universe,following Porntip Nakhirunkanok from Bangkok winning the title in 1988.

Amanda出生於普吉島，父親是荷蘭裔加拿大人，母親是華裔泰華人，難怪一張混血臉，高階又精緻。
不過，在國際選美賽事中，混血臉可以說是比比皆是，要知道，環球小姐的混血紀錄，出自1997年，總冠軍擁有7國混血。

比如，去年2019年摘得泰國環球小姐的桂冠的Fahsai Paweensuda Drouin，也是偏向歐美風格的長相，冷豔御姐，氣場兩米八。
2017年奪得桂冠的Mareeya，是泰國和瑞典的混血美女，深邃的五官，將近184公分的高挑身材也讓她從眾多美女中脫穎而出。
除了姣好的外形條件，Mareeya在學習方面也很有天賦，她畢業於瑞典斯德哥爾摩商學院，精通泰語、瑞典語、英語和中文四門語言，堪稱美麗與智慧並存。
值得一提的是，環球小姐跟特朗普，還有一定的關係。大賽主辦者為“環球小姐”組織，總部設在美國紐約，1996年特朗普接手，後來雙方終止合作，但他之後又買入環球小姐組織51%的股份。
從獲獎佳麗面貌上看，似乎越靠近西方審美，越能取得更高名次。因此，泰環的審美取向越來越偏離“泰國”。
泰國已經收穫了兩個環球小姐總冠軍的頭銜，今年選出Amanda去參賽，自然是對她寄予了厚望。
