這首歌多次作為背景音樂，用到各種精彩影片剪輯中。基本很多人都聽過，只是不知道這首歌的出處。以前我打dota的時候，非常喜歡聽這首歌。

《In the End》這首歌曲是在好萊塢誕生的，當時他們正在當地的一個沒有窗戶的錄音室工作，麥克·信田因疲倦而入睡，但不知怎麼回事，他就構思出了《In the End》的雛形了。麥克·信田之後將這首歌曲的雛形放給了樂隊鼓手羅伯·巴登聽，羅伯·巴登認為這就是樂隊需要的歌曲，於是樂隊展開了歌曲的完善和製作工作。該首歌曲的最初名字叫做《未命名》，後改為《In the End》，被收錄在林肯公園首張錄音室專輯《Hybrid Theory》中，於2001年10月9日作為專輯的第四支單曲發行 。2002年8月29日，該首歌曲獲得MTV音樂錄影帶大獎“最佳搖滾錄影帶”獎，併入圍“年度最佳錄影帶”和“最Carens隊組合錄影帶”獎 。
