There be 句型表示有，其一般現在時完整句型通常是There is /are +名詞+介詞短語。表示某處有某物。這個句型的一般疑問句形式就是把be動詞提前，回答如下例句:

There is a desk in the room.

房間裡有一張桌子。

Is there a desk in the room ?

房間裡有一張桌子嗎？

Yes, there is. /No, there isn "t.

是的，有。/不，沒有。

There are some desks in the room.

注:there be 句型中如果有some, 變一般疑問句和否定句時要變成any 。
