古往今來情自痴，

There have been infatuated people since ancient times

此中道理幾人知。

Few people have got to know the truth in it

人情似紙張張薄，

People’s feelings are really as thin as a sheet of paper

世態如棋步步思。

The ways of the world are like playing chess carefully

己忍寒窗圖破壁，

To try to make a breakthrough I have studied for years

更移天地待飛時。

Waiting for the time to fly to change the world

人生何懼終黃土，

Don't be afraid that life is sure to come to an end

最怕花開未折遲。

The worst thing is failing to pick blooming flowers in time
