To cross one's fingers is a hand gesture commonly used to wish for luck. Occasionally it is interpreted as an attempt to implore God for protection. The gesture is referred to by the common expressions "cross your fingers", "keep your fingers crossed", or just "fingers crossed".

這種手勢通常被稱為 "cross your fingers"、"keep your fingers crossed "或只是 "fingers crossed"。

英文解釋:to hope that things will happen in the way that you want them to希望事情按照你希望的方式發生used for saying that you hope something goes well or has a good result用來表示希望某事進展順利或有一個好的結果例句:

Let's keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't rain.

"Break a leg" is a typical English idiom used in theatre to wish a performer "good luck".

Don’t worry about tomorrow’s audition. Knock them dead!
