英國稱變異病毒傳播失控 部分地區防控級別升至最高
英國政府近日表示，近期突然加劇的疫情與一種新變異的新冠病毒有關。
這種變異的新冠病毒正在倫敦和英格蘭東南部地區迅速蔓延，它的傳播速度比原先發現的新冠病毒要快。英國衛生大臣漢考克20日稱，變異新冠病毒的傳播已經失控。
當地時間12月19日，英國首相約翰遜在電視講話中宣佈，從20日起，倫敦、英格蘭東南部和東部將實施最高級別“4級”的封鎖限制，以應對新冠病毒變異後快速傳播的嚴峻局勢。

新的限制措施要求民眾在家工作，避免在其他地方過夜，也建議全英格蘭各地的人們不要外出旅行。同時，實施第4級限制的地區聖誕節活動將被取消，第3級限制的地區民眾須更改其聖誕節計劃。
From Sunday morning, London, the South East and East of England will move into Tier Four restrictions, which will be broadly similar to national restrictions introduced in England in November, Johnson announced Saturday at a virtual press conference at Downing Street.
Under the new toughter measures, residents in those areas must stay at home, with limited exemptions. People are also urged to work from home when they can, and should not enter or leave tier four areas. The restrictions will last for two weeks and will be reviewed on Dec. 30, Johnson said.

世衛組織：多國確認出現與變異新冠病毒相關的確診病例
世界衛生組織20日表示，英國以外已有至少三個國家發現了與這種變異新冠病毒相關的確診病例。其中，丹麥出現9例，荷蘭和澳大利亞各出現1例。
世衛組織方面還表示，已經注意到“有初步跡象顯示”英國9月份開始出現的這種變異新冠病毒“在人與人之間傳播速度更快”，並且可能會影響到一些診斷檢測的準確性，但目前沒有證據證明這種變異病毒的致死率更高或能導致更嚴重的症狀。
A WHO official confirmed that the new variant of the virus was first identified in southeastern England in September and has been circulating in the area since.
Outside Britain, nine cases of the new strain have been reported in Denmark, as well as one case in the Netherlands and another in Australia, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
多國緊急宣佈應對措施

Countries such as France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, El Salvador and Iran have placed restrictions on British travelers and flights in response to Johnson's announcement.

The Netherlands government has banned all flights carrying passengers from the UK from Sunday, with travel restrictions to remain in place until at least January 1.

Canada said it would halt the entry of passenger flights from Britain for 72 hours from midnight Sunday.

Meanwhile, Italy's Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said the government was preparing to sign a provision to ban flights to and from the UK to "protect Italians."
此外，德國、法國、奧地利、羅馬尼亞等國也都紛紛宣佈即日起禁止英國航班入境，禁令持續時間長短不一。同時，西班牙已請求歐盟採取共同舉措，以阻止來自英國的航班入境歐盟。
