who引導的定語從句, 謂語動詞由先行詞來決定。

先行詞在定語從句中作主語, 它為第三人稱單數，則謂語動詞也用第三人稱單數。 舉例如下:

She is a girl who wins the first prize.

A good friend is a person who comes first when we are in trouble.

He watched the children who were standing over there.

The person who was here yesterday is a musician.

Anybody who breaks the law will be punished.

得看情況從上下文來看，如： Who is it? Who are they?這兩個都要看主語。與主語一致 Those who want to take....這是一個定語從句，先行詞(被限定脩飾名詞)為those，它代表those people.為複數，遵循定語從句中的謂語須與先行詞一致，所以，用want而不用wants 同理，anyone who wants to take... anyone 先行詞為單數，所以定語從句的的謂語動詞與其一致須用單數wants who is the man that stands there？ Who are the people that are present the meeting

who後面應跟單數動詞還是複數？who後面主語是第三人稱代詞單數時，後面應跟單數動詞，如：Who is he？

who後面主語是第二人稱代詞單數或複數時，後面應跟複數動詞，如：Who are you？還有當主語是第三人稱代詞複數時，who後面應跟複數動詞，如：Who are they？

who後面應跟單數動詞還是複數，取決於句子的主語。

如果是疑問代詞who作主語，當疑問代詞作主語時，要把疑問代詞看作是第三人稱單數形式那麼謂語動詞就要用第三人稱單數形式。

如果疑問代詞不是作主語，就要根據句子的主語的人稱和數來確定謂語動詞是用單數形式還是複數形式。

例句：

1.Who often helps you with your Chinese study?

在這個句子中，疑問代詞作主語，一般現在時，謂語動詞要用第三人稱單數形式。

2.Who are the men beside the house?

在這個句子中，疑問代詞不作主語，而是作表語，謂語動詞要根據句子的主語men來確定謂語動詞的形式。

who後面應跟單數動詞或複數。

who 如果引導定語從句時，後面的動詞則要和先行詞的單複數保持一致。
